— The best goaltender of the month is Vitaly Yeremeyev (Dynamo Moscow, pictured). He played six games in December, three of them clean sheets, conceded an average 1.33 goals per game and saved 95.5% of shots on his goal.

— The best defenseman of the month is Dmitry Bykov (Atlant Moscow Region). In his nine games he collected 6 points (2 goals, 4 assists), and achieved an efficiency rating of +9.

— The best attacker of the month is Sergei Mozyakin, also from Atlant, who amassed 14 points (5 goals, 9 assists) from his nine games. His efficiency rating for December is +7.

— The best newcomer (a player born in 1987 or later, who has played no more than 20 top-level matches in previous national tournaments) of the month is Nikolai Belov (Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk). The young defenseman played seven games in December, earned himself 4 points (1 goal, 3 assists) and a rating of +3.
