Canadian forward Gilbert Brule, whose resume includes spells with Columbus, Edmonton, Phoenix and Avtomobilist before moving to Medvescak last season, has left Croatia and signed for Neftekhimik. The Nizhnekamsk men have paid the Croats compensation for the 29-year-old. Meanwhile, two of Brule’s fellow countrymen have joined the Zagreb club: in comes ex-Phoenix, Montreal and Arizona forward Lucas Lessio, 23, and goaltender Drew MacIntyre, 33, who has plied his trade in the NHL at Vancouver, Buffalo and Toronto and enjoyed a stint in the KHL with Lev Prague. Both the new arrivals have signed up for one year.
Traktor has reinforced its offensive line by signing American center Ryan Vesce, formerly of Torpedo, Medvescak, Dinamo Minsk and San Jose Sharks. The 34-year-old has signed a one-year deal with the Chelyabinsk club.
