The KHL Disciplinary Committee has investigated two incidents from Tuesday’s games in the Championship.

In the final second of regulation time in the game in Cherepovets between Severstal and Barys Astana, visiting forward Yaroslav Yevdokimov was sent to the locker room for charging following a strong and apparently intentional hit on home forward Dmitry Kagarlitsky. After reviewing the episode, the Committee supported the referee’s decision to punish the Astana man with a major plus game misconduct penalty (5+20 minutes), but re-classified the foul as one of injuring an opponent with illegal use of the knee. As a result, Yaroslav Yevdokimov has been suspended for one game.

Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod head coach Peteris Skudra has also earned a one-game suspension. The Latvian specialist received a 20-minute penalty for abusing the officials during him team’s defeat at the hands of Ugra in Khanty-Mansiysk.
