Another Mozyakin milestone. November 27 round-up

The KHL’s all-time leading scoring, Sergei Mozyakin, posted his 500th point in Metallurg Magnitogorsk’s 4-2 win at Lada. The big moment came 33 seconds into the middle session when Mozyakin scored a power play goal off a Jan Kovar pass, cancelling out Alexander Streltsov’s first-period opener. Denis Platonov put Magnitka ahead soon after before Mozyakin added #501 to his tally in similar circumstances to his earlier goal; this time Chris Lee supplied the ammunition and the forward stretch the lead to 3-1. Vasily Streltsov cut the deficit almost immediately but Lada could not find a way through in the third and Tim Brent scored his team’s third power play goal of the night in the last minute to complete the scoring.
