Sorokin stars despite Sibir win

Young Metallurg Novokuznetsk goalie Ilya Sorokin had another busy evening – making more than 50 saves against Sibir. The visitors dominated for much of this Siberian derby, but 19-year-old Sorokin performed wonders to force the game into overtime. Dmitry Kugryshev’s second of the night finally gave Sibir the win, scoring a third goal on Sorokin with his team’s 54th shot on target.
