The highly-experienced and much-traveled Russian international forward Konstantin Glazachev, 32, a Russian Super League champion back in 2002-03 with Lokomotiv, has left Spartak Moscow after one season and signed up for a year with Admiral Vladivostok.

In contrast, forward Alexander Gorshkov has left Vladivostok, although he is staying in Russia's Far East. The 26-year-old has moved to local rival Amur of Khabarovsk in exchange for financial compensation.

Severstal has given a tryout contract to forward Semyon Kokuyov, previously of Dynamo Moscow and Traktor. The move is a homecoming for the 30-year-old, who was born in Cherepovets and began his career with the club.

Dynamo Moscow has recruited forward Sakari Salminen on a one-year deal. The 29-year-old Finnish international, a bronze medalist at the Sochi Olympics, spent the 2016-17 season at Jokerit.

Defenseman Igor Bortnikov, 28, returns to Ugra on a tryout contract after spending part of last season with Neftekhimik. The men from Khanty-Mansiysk also agreed a double exchange with Sibir.

24-year-old defenseman Ilya Nekolenko moved to Ugra, while Khanty-Mansiysk defenseman Alexander Makarov, also 24, headed for Sibir Novosibirsk. Later in the week, 23-year-old forward Ilya Shipov, who signed for Sibir after two seasons with Dynamo Moscow, traveled onward to Ugra while his fellow forward, 22-year-old Denis Gorbunov, moved to Sibir.
