In the 38th minute of Thursday’s match in Yaroslavl, Game 2 of the Western Conference quarter-final series between Lokomotiv and Dinamo Minsk, visiting forward Nikita Komarov (№19) received a minor, misconduct and game misconduct penalty (2+10+20 minutes) for boarding and injuring an opponent, after a challenge from behind on Yaroslavl forward Artyom Ilyenko.

According to the Disciplinary Regulations, foul play of this nature calls for a fine and an automatic one-game suspension. The player also incurs a separate fine and an automatic one-game suspension for receiving two penalties of ten minutes or more in one game.

Nikita Komarov is therefore banned for 2 games.
