In response to a request from the Refereeing Department, the KHL Disciplinary Committee has studied episodes from two of Monday’s games in the Championship.

In the 17th minute of the match in Vladivostok between Admiral and Dinamo Minsk, visiting defenseman Dmitry Korobov  (№24) was given a double minor plus game misconduct penalty (2+2+20 minutes) for leaving the players bench. The Committee supported the referee’s decision and has imposed on the Minsk man a fine and a two-game suspension.

As this was the player’s second 20-minute penalty of the current season, he incurs an additional fine and an automatic fone-game ban for repeat offending. Dmitry Korobov is therefore suspended for a total of three games.

In the final few seconds of the match in Khabarovsk between Amur and Jokerit Helsinki, Amur defenseman Vitaly Atyushov received a major plus game misconduct penalty (5+20 minutes) for injuring an opponent by checking to the head and neck area. This verdict was also upheld the Committee, and as a result, he has been handed a fine and a one-game suspension.
