To mark the end of the fifteenth week’s play of the ninth season of the Championship, the Kontinental Hockey League has named the best players of the week in four categories.

– Best goaltender was Ilya Proskuryakov (Torpedo), who made three appearances and helped his team achieve two wins - one of which was a shutout and the other, against Lada, courtesy of his exploits in the shootout. Proskuryakov ended the week with a save percentage of 96.30 and a goals against average 1.01;

– Best defenseman was Kirill Koltsov (Traktor), who scored points, earned a positive rating, and celebrated victory in both his games, ending the week with 3 points (2+1) and a +2. Koltsov also fired off 8 shots at the opposition net and his goal against Amur was the game-winner;

– Best forward was Alexander Semin (Metallurg Magnitogorsk), who scored the game-winning goals in both his outings and celebrated a double against Kunlun Red Star. Semin did not receive a single negative rating on his way to earning a +2 for the week, and he struck 7 shots at goal;

– Best rookie was 21-year-old Dinamo Minsk forward Dmitry Ambrozheichik, who enjoyed two outings, both victorious, and scored a double against Medvescak. Young Ambrozheichik finished the week with a +2, no negative ratings, and an average ice time of 11 minutes 53 seconds.
