In the 37th minute of Thursday’s match in Yaroslavl between Lokomotiv and Dinamo Minsk, visiting forward Nikita Komarov received a major plus game misconduct penalty (5+20 minutes) for injuring an opponent by checking to the head and neck area. Following a request from the Refereeing Department, the KHL Disciplinary Committee reviewed the incident and has upheld the referee’s decision. As a result, Nikita Komarov has been fined and banned for one game.
