To mark the end of the twenty-third week’s play of the Championship and the final week of the regular season, the Kontinental Hockey League has named the best players of the week in four categorie: 


- Best goaltender was Jakub Sedlacek (Dinamo Riga), who helped his team clinch two wins in two games. Sedlacek ended the week with one shutout, a save percentage of 97.22 and a goals against average of 1.00; 

- Best defenseman was Ville Lajunen (Jokerit), with 3 points (1+2) from two outings. Lajunen avoided a minus in both games and earned a +2 for the week. 

- Best forward was Evgeny Skachkov (HC Sochi), who yielded 4 points (3+1) from two games. Skachkov merited a plus in both outings and his points haul included a double against Medvescak; 

- Best rookie was 18-year-old Metallurg Magnitogorsk goalie Ilya Samsonov, who made two appearances and finished the week with one victory, a %Sv of .9423 and a GAA of 1.47.
