The KHL Disciplinary Committee has reviewed two episodes from Wednesday’s games in the Championship.

In the 51st minute of the game in Khabarovsk between Amur and Dinamo Minsk, visiting forward Dmitry Buinitsky received a major plus game misconduct penalty (5+20 minutes) for checking from behind in a hit on home defenseman Vitaly Atyushov. After reviewing the incident, the Committee upheld the referee’s decision and has suspended Buinitsky for one game.

The second episode took place in the 13th minute of the game in Novosibirsk between Sibir and CSKA. Following a request from the Refereeing Department, the Committee investigated a collision by the boards which left Moscow forward Simon Hjalmarsson needing medical treatment. After studying the evidence, the Committee found Novosibirsk forward David Ullstrom guilty of causing injury by checking to the head or neck area. As a result, Ullstrom receives a major plus game misconduct penalty (5+20 minutes) and a two-game suspension.
