The KHL Disciplinary Committee has reviewed two episodes from Tuesday’s game in Ufa between Salavat Yulaev and Ak Bars Kazan. The first was the 12th-minute collision between visiting forward Vladimir Tkachyov and home forward Alexander Nesterov, which escaped the attention of the officials. After reviewing the incident, the Committee found the Kazan man guilty of checking to the head or neck area, for which Tkachyov receives a major plus game misconduct penalty (5+20 minutes) and a one-game suspension.

In the 34th minute, Salavat Yulaev forward Sergei Soin was sent to the locker room for checking to the head and neck area following a blatant foul on Ak Bars defenseman Stepan Zakharchuk. The Committee upheld the referee’s decision to issue a major plus game misconduct penalty (5+20 minutes) and has suspended Soin for four games.
