The KHL Disciplinary Committee has reviewed an episode from the 16th minute of Friday’s game in Moscow between CSKA and Torpedo. Home defenseman Grigory Panin was sent to the locker room for illegal use of the knee after a hit which left Nizhny Novgorod forward Kaspars Daugavins requiring treatment for a thigh injury.

The Committee upheld the referee’s decision to punish the foul with a major plus game misconduct penalty (5+20 minutes), and has suspended Grigory Panin for two games.
