The Disciplinary Committee has reviewed an incident from Thursday’s game in Magnitogorsk between Metallurg and Admiral Vladivostok, namely home forward Francis Pare’s 48th-minute challenge by the boards on Admiral defenseman Ilya Davydov. The referee punished the foul with a minor plus misconduct penalty (2+10 minutes) for checking to the head and neck area (Rule 540a).

After studying the episode, the Committee upgraded the offense to one of attempting to injure an opponent by checking to the head and neck area (Rule 540b), has replaced the minor plus misconduct penalty with a major plus game misconduct penalty (5+20 minutes), and has suspended Francis Pare for two games.
