Revenge win for Neftekhimik

11 September 2014, 21:43

Neftekhimik got swift revenge for last week’s defeat In Togliatti, defeating Lada 4-2 in Nizhnekamsk thanks to a game-winning display from Yegor Milovzorov.

The former Dynamo forward scored twice in the first period, stretching Maxim Rybin’s opening marker into a 3-0 cushion.

Then, after Lada hit back, he had an assist on Tim Stapleton’s 4-2 goal just before midway to calm home nerves.

Lada felt it was back in contention early in the second when Yury Petrov and Semyon Valuisky pulled it back to 3-2, but failed to turn third-period chances into goals as Ville Kolppanen made 14 saves in the final stanza.
