Continuing our series at of the most popular action clips from the sixth KHL Championship, we give you the five most frequently viewed hits of last season.

In the first place was Salavat Yulaev defenseman Andrei Zubarev and his trademark "windmill." Quite a few forwards have fallen victim to this tricky-to-execute hit, and Stanislav Chistov was no exception.

Zubarev has become such a master the art of catching opposing players on his thigh and propelling them skywards that he continued to claim victims all through the regular season and into the playoffs. In the first round of the knockout stage, the Ufa defenseman made Torpedo forward Wojtek Wolski somersault in such a spectacular fashion that that fans continue to browse this site to watch the hit over and over again.

Lokomotiv defenseman Mikhail Pashnin rarely leaves the ice without adding at least one quality hit to his collection. Not all of them are in strict accordance with the rules, admittedly, but there was nothing wrong with this almighty challenge on future Gagarin Cup winner Tim Brent, and it is our third most-watched hit of the season.

Dinamo Minsk’s Ilya Kaznadei gave this uncompromising reception to Spartak forward Alexei Krutov, and this challenge occupies fourth spot among visitors to the League’s website.

Passion in the playoffs is bound to soar through the roof. Barys Forward Nigel Dawes was determined to halt the advance of Salavat Yulaev attacker Anton Slepyshev, but the Ufa man was in no mood to back down, and Dawes was lucky to escape without serious injury.
