King returns to Russia

Lokomotiv Yaroslavl has announced the appointment of Canadian specialist Dave King as the new head coach. The 66-year-old brings with him a wealth of experience from a long and varied career on the coaching staff at Team Canada, juniors and seniors, plus several NHL clubs, including spells as head coach at Calgary and Columbus, and even a stint in Russia from 2005-06, during which he guided Metallurg Magnitogorsk to victory in the 2005 Spengler Cup.

King fills the post vacated by fellow veteran Pyotr Vorobyov, who resigned at the weekend due to health problems.
