Kadeikin ends Atlant’s goal drought

25 November 2013, 22:31

Atlant found the net for the first time in 190 minutes to set up a shoot-out win over Lokomotiv.

Alexander Kadeikin finally broke his team’s scoring drought in the 44th minute of Monday night’s game after the video officials confirmed that there was nothing untoward in the bizarre series of ricochets which saw Curtis Sanford lose sight of the forward’s shot from a tight angle on the post.

Kadeikin – who had scored Atlant’s previous goal in a 1-2 defeat to SKA - thus canceled out Mikelis Redlihs’ goal for Loko midway through the game and the 1-1 tie lasted through overtime. Yury Trubachyov and Konstantin Koltsov then found the net in the shoot-out, while Sergei Borisov twice denied Loko.
