Loko too strong for Atlant

21 November 2013, 21:44

Lokomotiv made it four wins from four following the international break, downing Atlant 2-0 in Yaroslavl. After a scoreless first period, Yury Petrov opened the scoring in the 23rd minute with a slick one-timer after Mikhail Glukhov’s stumble gifted the puck to Mikhail Pashnin.

The home side doubled its advantage early in the third through Igor Musatov’s wrist shot, while Curtis Sanford made 36 saves for his fifth shut out of the season. The best of those came late on, denying Juha-Pekka Haataja as Atlant fought for a way back into the game.
