Following Wednesday’s game in Moscow between CSKA and Avangard, Omsk forward Sergei Kostitsyn made several negative comments regarding the quality of refereeing. The KHL Regulations state that clubs are obliged to ensure that all its staff refrain from publicly criticizing the officials until 24 hours after the end of the relevant game. In the event of such views being aired within the given period, they should be accompanied by an official complaint to the League about the standard of refereeing. As no such communication was submitted by the Omsk club, the League has fined HC Avangard a sum of 50,000 rubles (approx. 1,530 USD) in accordance with the Disciplinary Regulations.
