Dynamo returns to winning ways

Ilya Gorokhov had a good day against his former club, posting 1+1 to help Dynamo Moscow to a 4-1 win at Atlant Moscow Region. The defenseman opened his account with a powerplay goal 27 seconds into the second period, and then had a hand in Konstantin Gorovikov’s strike to make it 3-1.

Alexander Ovechkin was also on the scoresheet, getting the opener in the fifth minute as Dynamo bounced back from a midweek defeat at home to Sibir. Atlant, meanwhile, suffered a fifth successive loss.

Belov’s late goal saves Avangard
Anton Belov snatched a dramatic equalizer with just four seconds to playas Avangard made it six wins in a row with a shoot-out success at Severstal thanks to Sergei Kostitsyn’s winner. Earlier Vadim Shipachyov and Evgeny Ketov both put up 1+1 for Severstal in a 2-2 regulation tie.
