The KHL Disciplinary Committee has studied certain episodes from the games of the 4th and 5th of January.

In the 56th minute of the game between Sibir and CSKA the home team’s defender Alexander Kutuzov was handed a minor plus misconduct penalty (2+10 minutes) for an attack to the head or neck area. Having scrutinized the incident, the Committee decided to increase the punishment and has imposed on Kutuzov a major plus game misconduct penalty (5+20 minutes).

In the 52nd minute of the Torpedo vs. Vityaz game, the visitors’ forward Andrei Posnov received a major plus game misconduct penalty (5+20 minutes). The KHL Disciplinary Committee has decided to uphold the original punishment.

As for Vityaz forwards Evgeny Timkin and Yaroslav Tulyakov, however, both players have previously been disciplined this season (Timkin in the KHL, and Tulyakov in the MHL) and so have been suspended for one and two games respectively.
