The KHL Disciplinary Committee has studied an incident which took place in the Vityaz vs. Metallurg Magnitogorsk game on December 27, resulting in the Chekhov club’s forwards Jon Mirasty and Nick Tarnasky being sent off for the rest of the game for brawling.

As a result of its review, the Committee decided to uphold the major plus game misconduct penalties imposed by the referee on the Vityaz players.

In accordance with KHL regulations, Mirasty and Tarnasky receive an automatic one-game ban for the offense, plus an additional ban of two games each owing to both players’ poor disciplinary record. Therefore, Jon Mirasty and Nick Tarnasky are disqualified for a total of three games.
