Players of the week

The KHL has announced the players of the week for week 20 of the championship.

The award for best goaltender goes to Vitaly Kolesnik (Salavat Yulaev). He was on the winning side in both of the games he played last week, saving 98.4% of shots and averaging just 0.5 goals conceded.

The award for best defenseman goes to Denis Denisov (Dynamo Moscow, pictured). In three games he scored two goals, one of which turned out to be the game-winner, and earned an efficiency rating of +5.

The award for best attacker goes to Sergei Mozyakin (Atlant). In four games he added to his account six goals, two of which proved game-winners, two assists, and a rating of +5.

The award for best rookie goes to forward Sergei Plotnikov (Amur). In three games he scored three goals, made one assist, and spent an average of 15 minutes 11 seconds in play.
