After the 17th playing week of the championship, the KHL has named the players who were the best of the week in four categories.
- The title of best goaltender is awarded to Sergei Bobrovsky (Metallurg Novokuznetsk, pictured). He played in three games, saved 96% of the shots he faced, conceded only four goals, and in one game kept a clean sheet.
- The title of best defenseman is awarded to Anton Babchuk (Avangard). In his three games he scored one goal, made the decisive passes for three more, and earned an efficiency rating of +6.
- The title of best attacker is awarded to Jaromir Jagr (Avangard). The forward scored three goals and made five assists in his three games, and his rating for the week was +5.
- The title of best rookie is awarded to Evgeny Kuznetsov (Traktor), who in three games scored one goal and made two assists. Kuznetsov’s average playing time for last week’s games was 11 minutes 6 seconds, and he merited a rating of +3.
