Famous defender, legendary former captain of CSKA and USSR national team Vyacheslav Fetisov now is eligible to play for CSKA again. The Moscow club registered his contract in the KHL supplying all the necessary papers that include medical tests' results. Fetisov's contract with CSKA is signed until the end of 2009-10 season, which means that he can play in the next regular season game against SKA St. Petersburg on November 11.

So, Fetisov comes back after 11 years. He last pulled on his skates for the Army Men back in 1988-89 season and ended his competitive playing career in 1998, after ten seasons in the NHL with New Jersey and Detroit. Two-time Olympic, seven-time World champion, 14-time USSR champion and triple Stanley Cup winner (twice as a player and once as a coach) played his last game for the Red Wings in fourth game of Stanley Cup finals on June 11, 1998.
